Who Can Apply
Italian and international students about to complete upper secondary school and enrolling in their first year of university (in Rome for resident students, nationwide for non-resident scholarship holders).
Requirements:
- Academic merit: excellent upper secondary school record;
- Financial situation: families with insufficient economic resources. Specific thresholds for the "ISEE for the right to university education" (ISEEU) and the "Equivalent Patrimonial Situation Indicator" (ISPE) are set each year.
Exceptions: The Foundation may admit students whose ISEEU/ISPE indicators exceed the stated thresholds if they are in documented disadvantaged circumstances. Students already enrolled at university (not in the final year of a master's or single-cycle degree programme) with a strong academic record may also be considered.
How to Apply
Pre-selection
Stage 1, Pre-selection: submission of the online application.
Stage 2, Integration: shortlisted candidates submit additional documentation online.
Admission tests and assessment
The admission tests take place at Villa Nazareth in Rome and include written general knowledge tests and interviews covering cultural background, psycho-aptitudinal profile, aptitude for communal living, and religious culture (no specific preparation is required).
Remote option: international students may request to sit the tests remotely, provided they do so well in advance.
The assessment committee is composed of College staff, university and secondary school professors, psychologists, priests, and former students.
Applicants to the INPS Competition for University Colleges must follow Villa Nazareth's own selection process in addition to the one required by the INPS call for applications.
For further information, please refer to the latest call for applications.
Maintaining Your Place
Continued eligibility depends on meeting academic progress requirements, participating in compulsory educational activities, and complying with the College's regulations.
